How to apply for access to the Register4 resource

You can contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by phone on 1800 882 844 and we’ll help you through the process. All projects need to have secured funding and ethics clearance. Your application will be reviewed by our Independent Access Committee. This Access Committee is appointed by the NBCF. Once your project has been approved by the Register4 Independent Access Committee, we will email our members with a project summary and to ask if they are interested in participating. Members who express interest are asked to give their permission for Register4 to forward their contact details to the researcher. We will also publish the project summary on the Register4 website. Once the project has been completed, you will be required to share the relevant summary information with the Register4 community so that our members can understand how they have contributed to cancer research results.

How your projects are assessed

Our Access Committee reviews each cancer research proposal against the same criteria, taking into account whether it is appropriate for our members and whether it constitutes the best use of the Register.

You won’t be able to submit an application for access until you have secured funding for your project.  However, you can request a letter of support in principle to use in your funding application.
