Founded in 1984 by Judith Curphey OAM, the Australian Girls Choir (AGC) has developed a reputation for inspirational performances to audiences in Australian and around the world. Now with nearly 4,000 girls across the country, the AGC has become a much loved Australian cultural icon.
As long term ambassadors for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the AGC have been instrumental in supporting Register4 and spreading the word about this initiative through their network. They performed at the launch of Register4 in October 2010 in Martin Place Sydney and continue to spread the word about Register4 through their communication channels.
Nicole Muir, Managing Director from the AGC says, “By raising awareness and spreading the word about Register4 amongst the youth, we believe we can use our voices to make a difference. In an organisation with nearly 4000 choristers, sadly nearly everyone would have a connection to breast cancer – whether it is a family member, teacher, friend’s mum or friend of the family’.
